Why upgrade your dust collector to a pulse-on-demand system? Pulse-jet baghouse dust collectors rely on high pressure bursts of air to clean their bag filters. This cleaning cycle plays a major role in the efficiency and effectiveness of the baghouse including the efficiency of the filters, the useful life of the filters, and the energy costs associated with operating the system including the compressed air requirements. If the cleaning cycle for your baghouse is currently being manually initiated or is a continuous duty system, you may want to consider upgrading to a pulse-on-demand system where the cleaning is initiated based on the differential pressure across the filters.
Installing a Sensocon® Series A3 or A4 Digital Differential Pressure Control is a quick and inexpensive way to upgrade to a pulse-on-demand system. The Sensocon® Series A3 or A4 Digital Differential Pressure Control will monitor the pressure between the clean and dirty air sides of the filter and automatically initiate the cleaning cycle when the differential pressure rises above a user defined set point and will continue to clean until the differential pressure drops below a user defined set point. These differential pressure controllers are designed for easy installation and can be panel mounted in the same size hole as a Magnehelic® or Photohelic® gage or can be surface mounted with the optional A-101 Surface Mounting Bracket.
